one day in France

Rooftop view of Saintes

Off to Saintes this evening to meet friends in a cafe, and on to see the Alan Turing film, and dinner afterwards. In the end ten of us turned up as word spread, which meant that we bought a carnet of ten tickets for the cinema, saving 1 euro 50 each! It was the first time I've been to the cinema in France, and at 5.50 per ticket, pretty cheap I thought!
The main difference , apart from the French subtitles, was the fact that the lights don't come up at the end until all the credits have rolled so unless you want to read till the very end, you have to stumble out in the pitch dark!
