Hermanus

We had such a great day, I took lots of great photos, but when we were finally home the internet did not work at all. It is strange how cut off one feels when that happens, it has become a very basic necessity in my life.
Anyway, we first went to Hermanus where N wanted to visit an old friend. Meanwhile we went walking in the pretty little town where I managed to photograph a butterfly for the first time in my life. I thought that was worth posting even though it's not that good.
Next stop was Betty's Bay where we visited our friend J who has a wonderful small beach house on the side of the mountain, a few kilometers from the beach. There is also a colony of African penguins. They are very funny. After that visit we went to the beach and what a beach it is! It is clean, with white sand and perfect to walk on. The others swam while I walked.
