Fire Drill

I didn't have any students when the alarm rang, so I didn't have to supervise any during the fire drill this morning.

So, I was bored and pulled out my phone.

Decent work day.

The children and I attended the opening of a new building for a business owned by a family we know. It is a tech company and the space is really cool! Great party.

Grace and I finished the evening at my niece's basketball game. I caught myself thinking, "block out" and "meet the pass!"

New graduation statistics came out today. The district I work in showed a graduation rate well above the state average. This is remarkable, considering that our students are predominantly minority culture and we are a high poverty district (100% free and reduced lunch). This year, I have felt that our district is really pulling it together (this is year 18 for me). I feel really proud about what these new statistics mean for our students.
