Surprise weekend break

Today has been somewhat emotional, we attended the funeral of a family friend and then set off on a 215 miles journey north, on the M6, on a Friday..... Needless to say, it was a long journey. But we have arrived at a wonderful country house hotel, which is an oasis of calm and amazing food. Well worth it.
