Bureaucracy In the Land of the Free

Day off work to help Mrs M negotiate the process to be issued a Maryland drivers licence. After waiting two months for a letter from the State Department she has sat the mandatory 3 hour drug and alcohol awareness course, passed the test. Today we picked up the certificate, sat waiting at the Social Sevurity Office to get a letter of ineligibility(????) and, as I write this Mrs M is being interviewed and photographed in our second visit to the MVA today. All this entitles her to sit a computer test and driving test some time in the distant future......to be continued.

Earlier in the day I sat in this excellent French bakery in Aspen Hill over a coffee waiting for A to complete her Alcohol test......
