Hungry

The snow has now frozen over and shows no signs of thawing.   There is not a lot , but enough to make feeding for animals difficult.

This is a sheep (we know it , not affectionately, as the "scabby sheep" ) that sometimes , during winter, haunts the hillside around us and makes forays into our garden tempted by grass that is still green. 

I didn't have the heart to chase it away from around the bird table this morning as there were some easy pickings to be had.   The cats were not pleased, however , given that even in its unkempt state it is too big a challenge for their stalking.
