Remarkable Deborah

We met in 1988 on a plane flying from Darwin (Australia) to Bali (Indonesia).  I had spent the last 18 months travelling in Australia & New Zealand and here was a friendly face as I contemplated my solo journey across the very different countries of South East Asia, on my way home.to the UK.

Deborah remembers that I asked if she wanted to look for some accommodation together at which point we picked up another solo traveller, Bill, who joined us too.  Remarkably (since we were all different ages, me in my 20's,  Bill in his 30's and Deborah in her 40's) with similar outlooks on life, we just clicked, travelled together for a month, and have stayed in touch ever since.

Such life changing experiences are not easily forgotten nor the people you do them with.  Now aged 75, Deborah was on her way back home to the USA from exploring India.  She had a 24 hour stopover in London and so I was on the train like a shot to meet up with her again.

It was wonderful to see her & be reminded of what a remarkable lady she is.  You can rest assured she's not about to start acting her age  - I predict more travel ahead....
