Female Sparrowhawk

We have snow but it's melting.  JJ has been out and cleared the drive, which is north facing, otherwise what snow there is will freeze solid tonight and it will be lethal to walk on.

We whiled away the morning watching the Djokovic/Wawrinka tennis match and I completed a Samurai Sudoko (five linked together).  I'm still nearly a year behind the ones I collect every Saturday from The Times.

I spotted something dive into the bamboo this morning and then saw a female sparrowhawk come out to sit on the fence for a few moments having caught nothing.  Buttons the squirrel stayed perfectly still on the patio whilst she was there and for a few minutes after she'd flown off.
It isn't sharp because it was taken through the window and is at the limit of my optical zoom.  I think I need to upgrade to the 30x.
