A sign of spring?

Late yesterday afternoon the sky turned that funny pre-snow colour and we got hail, then rain, and then snow. It came down quite thickly for a brief while, then it stopped and melted. End of snow excitement!

Today it felt very cold, I am sure it was one of the coldest days of the week so far. Perhaps because I was out quite early, getting groceries for the weekend and buying dog food from the garden centre (it has a pet store attached) Ironically all the spring flowers are starting to come up, today when it is so cold. I love they way they push up through the damp soil covered in leaves and suddenly there is a little splash of colour.

Gavin gets home tonight from his around the world trip - and I don't want to hear how he was running along Venice Beach in a T shirt and shorts in California while I have been freezing at home! Off to watch hockey again tomorrow, it is going to be very cold.

Looking forward to watching Fortitude on TV tonight, it started last night but I recorded it.
