Royal Spoonbills

This evening Rainie myself and another photography friend spent a couple of hours walking the wetlands in the hope of finding Spoonbills. We saw one at the beginning plus a heron , many many Canadian Geese, Pukeko, Oyster catchers etc;  We had almost given up and were heading back when lo and behold there were 10 Spoonbills. My lens wasn't quite up to it but it was great fun.
Look at Rainies tonight I am sure she will have a neat one of them in flight.  Regardless it was a great way to spend a Friday evening. My second big walk for the day so will feel quite OK  about having a lie in  tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone
