Fiona turns 5!

What a beautiful day to have a birthday!   We started the day on water like a mirror, sun on our backs and only one single boat in sight for an hour!
It's thurday and our day to pick up Fiona so we got her a little early (but after cupcakes with her class!) as well as her sister for a trip to the zoo on such a lovely afternoon.  she was very excited... Well, the anticipated carousel ride didn't happen as it closes too early, and many of the animals weren't out where we could see them.  We especially wanted to see the new lion cubs (born in october) who just got named today...their Dad pulled nominated names from a big paper bag!  But the cubs were inside with Mom eating.  We had fun anyway- and came home to do some face painting, something Fiona wanted for her birthday party.   She chose to be hello kitty and Tatum, a snow leopard....I think I quite like doing that!  Tatum painted a rainbow on my cheek.   After pizza we went to her house for some strawberry cupcakes her Mom made.  Put some photos on flickr including the doll I knit (named "Eloise")  that did get finished , but her dress is still a work in progress!   When we were at the zoo, Tatum said I should make a blip book of my "100 faces of Fiona", not knowing that I had done just that. (Also in the set....).    She's growing up!   She's such a happy child and a joy to be around...
