Bird Buddies

These are my old friends the neighborhood pigeons.  Despite the fact that I don't feed them anymore they still hang around.  (My landlords asked me not to feed them because there are a couple hundred of them and they can be quite destructive.)  I'm not entirely noble though, and definitely not above slipping them some peanuts now and again when nobody's looking, especially if they visit in small groups.

This is their morning routine lately and I love them for it.  They fly around in circles, all of them in one huge flock, back and forth, round and round, and it's beautiful to watch.  It's a great way to start the day.
