Even though she's an excellent reader now, she finds it hard to resist the lure of Scarry!

Yet another of those books I thought ready to give her little cousins which will have to wait some time....

Here she is reading The Best Book Ever, (the Herna Book as I used to call it) ... She's reading the my 1963 edition, cellotaped into an inch of its life, the cellotape more yellow and brittle than the pages.

Her Rostrum poster abandoned midflight, she closeted herself away in her bedroom to write in her secret diary (where is it?) and catch up on recreational reading (as opposed to tedious school reader reading)
