A SHORT BACK & SIDES:

Even the cherry trees need this ! I have an avenue up one side at the back, opposite my avenue of Rhododendrons. Rod is wielding the chainsaw & Peter is picking up the branches; you can tell by the amount on the trailer, they've had a field day ! In the Autumn I want Rod to come back & attack my walnut trees - they were expensive "Wilson's Walnut" ones, & although they're over 15 years old, I hardly get a nut from them. So they're going to get a 'short back & sides' in April/May. They won't know what's hit them !
Another grey, overcast day, but a lovely temperature for working. Note how low the clouds are ? They will probably lift by the afternoon.
