Red Bellied Woodpecker

Well I'm glad this little guy has been making his appearance, because we have always heard him out there pecking away, and he has never stood still long enough to be captured for the purpose of starring on Blipfoto.

Today must have been a hungry day for him because he stood still long enough for me to get a very good image. My research reveals that there are usually a family of this species around when they are sighted. I am looking forward to getting some more images of the entire Red Bellied Woodpecker family around here.
