Grand opening
...on a rather busy day. Work was OK but I had to leave early to be on time at the hospital for an x-ray of my wrist. My orthopedic surgeon, Ari, is going to do another operation in a few months (or weeks, it's not been scheduled yet) and remove the plate and screws to see if I'll feel a bit better and get more mobility of the hand. He needs the x-rays to be ready beforehand.
In the afternoon I was invited to an opening of 6 new handicapped accessible service-apartments here in Akureyri, especially built for young adults (20-23 years old) who wanted to start living on their own.
Beautiful building and seems to me it was cleverly designed to meet the needs of the new residents.
This is a quick picture I snapped in one of the apartments, when my co-workers Arnar (the manager of this building and the service) and Anna Marit were showing me around.
Quick visit to the library and my parents and then dinner. Guess it's time for PJ's and a book on the sofa.
Still snowing and a storm warning in the south of the country.
