Well, Well, Well...
Harrogate is really a spa town and has many wells of spa water containing iron, sulphur and common salt. The town became known as the 'The English Spa' and many wealthy visitors came for treatments the during the 16th and 17th centuries.
All the wells now are covered, but some 'houses' where people sat to drink the waters are still standing. This one has recently been renovated and is open to visitors, but there is no spa water to be tasted, just lingering smells of sulphur.
