Bright yellow like the sun

It's been another 34 C day.  The days are just so unbearable, and it is such a relief when the sun goes down for the day, bringing the temperature down to a more acceptable level.

Our new chooks have been busy laying lots of eggs, although being first time layers, the eggs are rather small.  I made a sponge this afternoon, and these are the yokes in a cup before I added them to the mixture.  I thought they looked rather interesting squashed together.

Back to work tomorrow.  Those six weeks of holidays went fast.
