Fly

 
Bad day yesterday with powercuts from midday through to midnight. Other than a couple of brief respites, I could not get on the computer. I am under a lot of time pressure from the job and so felt obliged to pull an all-nighter. I reached a good stage at around 4am and so got some sleep time in, ready for another busy day today.
 
Not time for research, but this looks like a cross between a fruit fly and a flesh fly. The body size and shape is fruit fly but just a tad bigger. The head and eyes are more flesh fly. Fruit flies have round, bright red eyes, these are a darker, more standard color and very elongated.
 
Ah well, back to the grind.
