Morning coffee
10am on Sunday morning, on the southern fringe of Pitlochry.
I was there for a Rotary district council meeting, having left home about 8.30 and stopped for breakfast at McDonalds in Perth.
After 2 days of non-stop rain at the end of last week, it was a real joy to see some warm sunshine. Also a little frustrating to know I'd be spending most of it in the conference hall at the Atholl Palace Hotel.
So as I arrived in Pitlochry I stopped to finish my coffee and watch some anglers getting started on the River Tummel.
After the meeting I spent a couple of hours at the Pass of Killiecrankie (a few miles north of town) just meandering about. Fresh air, sun, beautiful surroundings, very gentle exercise.
