Cross stitch

Another bitterly cold day, with so little to photograph! So I am afraid it is just a shot of my current cross stitch, very nearly finished. 
I quite like budgies, and years ago when Mr U&L and I first got married our first pet was a green budgie called Sage. Sage was quite a character, he was a great mimic, and spoke lots of words, and wolf whistled with finesse, once getting my late father in law into terrible trouble with some teenage girls by whistling loudly from the car!
We had Sage 11 years in total, during which time he became quite a celebrity and was even in the local paper.
He died in 1990, but we still miss him :-(
