Let there be light!

I didn't dare hope that maybe today the backyard would be cut back.... but it is! Sunlight, come on in! This just had to be my photo of the day, I can see my windows from the streetside. I drove home and immediately saw what had happened. Now I have more hours of sunlight when I sit on my balcony! 

I rang the door at my downstairs neighbour to ask what happened. And it seems someone made a complaint, she didn't know who or why. So she was actually forced to take measures. She didn't like it, but she was not really heartbroken about the trees fortunately. The one thing she does mind is missing out on her winged friends, the birds.

As it happened I had recently bought myself a new see-throught birdfeeder, because the old one broke down, so I went up, retrieved it and brought it to her as a kind of consolation.
