Almost gone!

The snow of the past week or so has almost gone but it looks most attractive as it clings to the crags and gulleys revealing the darker rock beneath.  I managed to get my two to stay still for a moment with the enticement of a reward but they were eager to get going, busy digging at the hummocks where i suspect small rodents may have been sheltering. You may notice that Bruce has recently had a makeover and is looking very smart - hopefully avoiding any more snowballs in his fur if the snow returns. Later in the afternoon I joined a fellow quilter to give support to another of our group who has just lost her husband to cancer just as they were starting to enjoy their retirement together. It was a humanist service and was very moving and emotional, touching a chord for many in the congregation who had lost loved ones.
