The Oast Theatre

I have been blipping for just over a year and have not yet featured an oast house which is surprising given that I live in the county with the most oast houses, although residents of Sussex and Surrey might contest this.  This oast was converted into a theatre in 1974. Most oast are now houses; very few these days are used to dry hops.

This oast is also the subject of a puzzle geocache which I was visiting for the second time because the first time I solved the puzzle the route took me to a footpath overgrown with nettles. Todays problem was mud, not nettles, but luckily I had wellies in the car.
