Daffodil Impressions

As we are just getting our first snowfall of the winter, I thought I would remind myself that spring is just round the corner by taking one or two daffodil shots. The inner petal frill and yellow hue are a dead giveaway in identifying daffodil so I thought I would confine myself to these basics in the image. I played around with some macro extension tubes and a lensbaby to blur the rest of the shot but soon realised that I needed a smallish aperture in order to get most of the frill in focus. So here is my promise of spring to come (definitely not home grown as we have scarcely seen the snowdrops yet )
