Latticed Stinkhorns fungus

Fungus has been grown prolifically in the recent wet weather in Brisbane. Today, whilst walking up work I came across this fungus in a bed of damp mulch. It was rather attractive but smelled like either rotting meat or dung and flies were attracted to it, which I am thinking helps disperse the spores to another fungus plant.
