Missed the boat

If you’re late for the boat it won’t wait.  I went round to Houton this morning to buy a new book of ferry tickets.  I then delivered the Current Mrs Creel to Stromness for the Hoy boat.  I got some messages for my mother and measured for a carpet for her.  Called Peggy to check on O’s progress in hospital.  I am about to pare the tatties and neep for tonight’s Clapshot.  Later I will take our neighbour into hospital to visit his wife.  Then pick up CMC from Stromness.  Not to forget going to the dentist to pay my debts and then going to the North End garage.  It’s all in a day’s work.  In case there are any lingering doubts Baz is cosied in inside the airing cupboard.
