Friendship Lamp

I awoke to a dark, windy morning and very quickly the skies got even darker and the heavens opened. A mixture of hail, sleet and snow seemed to be falling and was lashing against the windows. I felt I needed some extra light and quickly lit my friendship lamp to add some much needed brightness and colour to the room. It seems to have worked its magic as the tempest has now quietened down and the sky is getting brighter.
