Tuesday: Kamil and Andrzej

The highlight of my day was definitely meeting these two boys, Kamil and Andrzej Tkacz.

I attended the local premiere of an excellent film, 'Run, Boy, Run' about an 8 year old boy who escapes from the Warsaw Ghetto and spends three years on the run.  It is based on a true story and Kamil and Andrzej, between them, played the lead role.  Apparently, one of them would act in the morning, the other would act in the afternoon.  It also happened that one got all the crying scenes and the other got all the running scenes.

They really were such nice lads and their portrayal of the main character was amazing.  It was appropriate that it premiered today as it is International Holocaust Day and I was lucky enough to be asked to say a few words introducing the film.
