Bad timing

Mme A's birthday lilies started to open today, just as she left for 5 days in London. One of the buds was hanging off when I unwrapped them, and I'm pleased to see that it was worth putting it into its own little vase.

Without an outdoor blip, I decided to experiment using the tripod tonight. With the light on over the table the colours didn't look right so I switched it off. I think Kermit's fur made a good neutral background and, fortunately, when cats don't move they are very still so this 10 second exposure worked reasonably well, once I'd cropped off the blurred ear-twitch!
