Mallards on a rock

This morning I was at bible study, in which we have started a Beth Moore study on Esther. Then it was back home for lunch with Laura. In the afternoon, Laura and I went walking to the lake in Samoreau, where there is always quite a bit of bird activity. For today's blip I was tossing up between these mallards on the rock and a swan with a huge piece of baguette in its bill. People throw great chunks of stale baguette to the birds, and it's quite humorous watching the ducks and swans fight over them, and push them around in the water, until the bread has softened enough for them to be able to get a hold of it!
