New growth

It is always encouraging to see the early new growth on evergreens.  We had a wander around our woodland this afternoon and also cut some long and stuck them in the ground.  There is a 50% chance of them taking root, which is fair odds, and how a lot of our trees have begun their lives. It is amazing what will take root just like that. The ground is waterlogged and muddy, which I really hate.  It drizzled most of the time so the camera had to stay in the bag until the rain eased up now and again.
