Desperately seeking

No Time To Stand And Stare

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare
.

Leisure by William H Davies

A hard day today. Sunday is my day off and I normally have the morning to myself to drive around looking for something that catches my eye to photograph, maybe a little walk. However today I knew that most of the time had to be spent getting The Mother's kitchen fully emptied and prepared for the refurb tomorrow.

Thankfully, she was feeling better today. We emptied her garden shed and put the old kitchen units into it. She was delighted with the result and will no doubt enjoy putting everything properly away into the drawers and cupboards.

To complete the work I had to make a run to the recycling centre with a car full of stuff, that was when I saw the bullocks.
