Day 10

After an early breakfast we walked to Speightstown where we took a local yellow bus to Holetown. We wandered around the Chattel village, colourful painted wooden shops with souvenirs. I spotted this amazing tree and it had a sign - cannonball tree - and it did indeed have life size cannon balls. The flower had the aroma of a rose! It was most unusual tree with flowers near the bottom only.
At midday we had a boat trip. The Thriller power boat. We had to wade through rocky water up to our armpits to board! It sped down the coast to opposite the Lone Star. We were anle to snorkel and soon spotted a gigantic green turtle. It swam towards a catamaran and we swam after it, but not for long as the crew of the caramaran wished to depart and shouted that we were in the way! Then the Thriller crew called us in. So it was a short swim but i am pleased we saw a turtle once more.
We depart tomorrow afternoon. Its been a lovely holiday in the sun.
