Australia Day, amongst other things ...

When I was growing up, this day meant Anzac Biscuits and parties in school.

It's my birthday and it's been a bit unusual. My kids presents were all age-defying - age defying hand creams / face cream / foot cream / shower gel / face wash ....

This ruler was my school ruler in grade 3. Magnetic Island was our regular haunt, but this was before Cyclone Tracy flattened the area and Japanese money rebuilt it. That was Christmas 1974.
