Made in Stirling

Grabbed 45 minutes for a walk and lunch after a meeting in Stirling this morning.

Sitting in Costa, catching up with out of date celebrity news, I was flanked by two conversations considerably more interesting than anything Grazia had to offer.

To my left, two American teenagers were Skypeing their relatives to relay the - just happened - proposal of marriage they had experienced at the top of the hill at the Wallace Monument. Fiancée girl all gushes and squealing with excited relatives just out of bed. Fiancé boy completely and utterly mortified and hiding face in giant chocolate Costa teacake.

To my right, two old chaps reminiscing about their time in the Korean War.
