The appropriate vehicle for Winter Iceland

This is not our car, just to make that clear. But we had a Landrover some years ago. The only problem was it's tendency to malfunction when you least needed it ... so we sold it when we got tired of that problem. My husband still misses that car, believe it or not ;) Now we also have a jeep but a more comfortable one that doesn't break down as often. It happened once though, but it was just the battery that needed replacement. It continues to be true winter weather here, and yesterday people were stuck in their cars for quite some time,  just 10 min. drive from town, due to a crazy storm.
