A photo of a photo

This is a cheat of a picture, but I didnt get chance to take one today, so instead I had to take one of someone who did take a picture of the thing I should have taken a picture of....... At least they took it today and posted it online, so it kind of counts...

I was incredibly lucky today in the fact I got to go inside the Qasr al Hosn fort and see the actual oldest part of Abu Dhabi. The very turret to protect the newly discovered fresh water supply 250 years ago. Then inside the former palace. It's closed off to the public, but I got a personal guided tour by the curator from the British Museum. He wrote the tour and I'm decorating it with imagery in appropriate places. A very rare and pleasant privilege. I'm struggling to get my head around the vastness and speed that this city has grown since the discover of oil in the 30s. And seeing the room where the discussions and contracts where written with the sheikh and BP was pretty nuts! From there it all 'snowballed'
