Glen Clova in sunshine and snow
A beautiful bright day.
Since it was such a beautiful day we decided to head for Glen Clova Hotel for lunch. The drive through the Glen was very special with beautiful views of the snow covered peaks against the blue sky. We went further up into Glen Doll, which is the start of the main walk across the Cairngorms to Ballater, a route which Prince Charles is reputed to have walked. I doubt we would even be able to tackle it now but in our younger days, well ...... The Mountain in the middle of the photo is Cairn Broadlands.
The soup in the Hotel was Haggis, neeps and tatties - in short, another Burns Supper, but with the left overs blended into soup. It was delicious and very filling.
This evening I am headed to a Buffet Evening for Children's Panel Members - a meet and greet for new Members and some awards for long service Members.
Tomorrow, I will be heading to Aberdeen in preparation for my Pacemaker being fitted early on Wednesday.
If you would like to see some more lovely snowy hills head over to my Flikr Album.
