May 20: Fly strike!

We were getting the sheep done for the fly strike. This is where the flies lay their eggs in the wool and when the maggots emerge or burrow down into the skin they send the poor sheep berserk with itching. So lots of tugging onto sheep in confined areas, having my toes stood on and being butted by the rams.

Now relaxing with a tequila fizz cocktail. 3 parts tequila, 1 part grenadine, 1 part fresh lime juice. Shake over ice, pour into high balls and top off with ginger ale. Lovely.
