Da Lat's Crazy House

When I arrived at my hostel at 5am, they let me sleep in the dorm until my room was ready at 10am. I needed those five hours sleep to make up for the bus journey.

I then walked around the city, bought a cheap hoodie (I haven't needed any warm clothes until now) and then went to Hằng Nga Guesthouse, a working hotel and tourist attraction better known as Crazy House. In 2009 it was listed by a newspaper as one of the world’s ten most "bizarre" buildings. It's like a cross between Gaudí and something from Disneyland, but weirder. There are staircases going all over the place.

In the evening my hostel put on a free meal for all the new arrivals and 11 of us signed up to do 'canyoning' the next day...
