We decided that our Sunday outing should be a Powell's Bookstore date in Portland (for those of you out of Oregon, check out Powell's whenever you are in P-Town. But rather than leave Kirby at home, we took him with us, and strolled the waterfront before heading up to the bookstore. He loved the adventure, swam in the Willamette, met some strangers, and loved the city adventure. He couldn't walk far before his arthritic shoulder acted up. We took it easy as he limped back to our truck, but he was game for the outing. Kirb doesn't care the destination; just make sure he's included in the trip. It is tough watching him get old and slow down.
