walk in the woods

It was a beautiful Sunday.  

We spent several hours this afternoon looking through old pictures.  We need to collect some for a slideshow at the school.  It was great fun.  The kids laughed a lot.  

I took the dog for a blip walk a little later in the afternoon while the sun was still higher in the sky.  I walked a trail that I walk often, but decided to shoot whatever appealed to me.  

Now I have a series of these stumps that have decomposed in the most amazing ways.   They look like fantastical beasts.  I have really enjoyed them.
