Fern unfolding

Went for our Sunday afternoon walk at Beeston Castle, while the kids were running wild in the woods I was enjoying the ferns. The woods around the steep slopes below the castle are covered in ferns and a lot of them are in the process of unfolding.
It seemed a safer thing to watch than the boys climbing trees and running down steep slopes, I had to find something else to watch to calm my nerves...
