SO proud

Yes. I know. Put odd socks on, she makes me proud. Wave to a fly, she makes me proud. But she totally knocked my (odd) socks off today. The babe rocked it. For so many reasons. I had a session this morning. She offered her CD player so the girls could have Frozen music during their session, and use of her rocking horse to be "sven". She played so quietly and happily the whole time before coming to meet the girls at the end. She had a nice time with Granny and Grandad for brunch. Then the afternoon arrived. She blew me away.
Today she had 4 dance exams, as part of two shows. She had two with her own class, two with the class above. Her class work, they've been working on a while. The other class' work, she's seen it quite a bit, played about at it sometimes but only yesterday was it decided she would take their exams too. And she was just marvellous. She led the way in her original exams for all the sections. She did great in the new two, and not once did her smile falter. She was a delight to watch and simply adores being there. She had a wonderful time back stage too. I was really proud of all our students today - they were a joy to chaperone. The big girls took pleasure joining in with the littler ones, helping us and them. The little ones loved watching the big girls practice. Each of them was so keen to watch and support the other groups. Katie commented to her principal, with the examiner stood right next to her, what an amazing day she's had. She was right, it really was.
I have no stage shots of her dancing, but I love this one as its Katie with the older class - who she really is considerably smaller than - and one of the bigger girls who has taken quite a shine to Katie, all having a wonderful time before their final exam.
