Beech leaves
After yesterday's exertions my legs felt surprisingly good but I thought a short brisk walk was in order so I went along the burn, into Caird Park and a circuit and a bit of the ponds. In the burn a dipper was chirping away (but didn't stay still long enough for any photos) and in the park the ducks appeared to be walking/sliding on water, with good reflections. Then a flash of turquoise as a kingfisher flew upstream and I managed a not-very-good photo before it returned and then disappeared - I've never seen one there before so was glad I'd gone out.
The young beech trees keep their brown leaves all winter and are a welcome sight on a dull day
