Pageant.

It's Burn's night so there was a pageant in town to celebrate his life and work, it's part of a bigger festival which is on for over a week.  I set the camera to 4000 ISO and hoped for the best, photographically speaking, so I am surprised that anything actually came out.  Different groups made a variety of lanterns which are lit up with torches and fairy lights, many of them related specifically to Burns poems but some were on more general themes. There were a lot of young kids in the procession, so fortunately the rain held off, as it would been hard going if it had been wet.
