Easterly Egret

We set out for the east side of the island today and had a wonderful time.
We went to Le Hocq first just as the tide was receding, seeing lots of curlew and egret on the rocks. We bought lunch from the shack and drove around to La Rocque Harbour to eat it whilst looking out to sea.
After our bacon, sausage and burger lunch we set off for the rocks in search of waders and shore birds. We saw loads including a merganser, but most we're too far away for any decent blips.
This egret however was in shot. I like the way the sun in shining on it. I watched for a while as was amazed at it speed.
