Draw yourself
I was having a wee go at out of bounds photography today, decided it would be some sort of self portrait, so I first did a sketch of my hand on a piece of A4 paper and it's very rough, the lines had to be quite thick, I then took a photograph of this and ensured the paper was white.
Laying a piece of A4 paper on the table , and grabbing a pencil I set a flash to the left at 1/32 to give a shadow on the paper from my hand. and of course used a flash trigger, F8 and 1/250th at ISO 100
Next i employed the services of one of my daughters (Ava) to take the photo of me, Missing my head was deliberate as the purpose of the image was my hands.
I asked ava to keep taking photo's as i moved my hand about over a point near the paper, raising my hand each shot, once we had about a dozen I loaded the hand and the selfie up in photoshop, choosing the one that looked the best for the sketch to go against, a little transformation was needed to get the sketch lined up on the blank A4 paper and i just had to darken a few of the lines slightly as i'd not taken into account the light from the window when i photographed the sketch.
For my first attempt at Out of Bounds photography i'm quite pleased.
Think i may have to practice my drawing skills though!
We also had a special meal tonight to celebrate my Mother in laws birthday which is tomorrow, But with Ballet and other things on after School tomorrow a visit to them wouldn't have been possible.!
