Cromarty
I do find this time of the year, along with most of the population I should think, rather dreary and depressing. After the snow everywhere looks dirty, saturated and lifeless so I made a conscious effort this afternoon to go somewhere that would lift my spirits. The dogs naturally help, when they are obviously enjoying themselves it's hard not to be affected by their happiness. They are always exited to find some new and different smells and to meet new dogs.
So we went to Cromarty, we hadn't been for ages. I knew that we would meet a few other Sunday afternoon strollers and dogwalkers, we would stop, chat, the dogs would play and then we would resume our walk and it's always beautiful there regardless of the weather.
We climbed the hundred steps, well almost all of them, the path did get very icy towards the end so we turned back at that point, I didn't think slipping over would add anything to my afternoon of therapy.
I am glad to say it helped with my January blues.
